1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website at jbs-homeimprovement.com or by engaging JB'S Home Improvement L.L.C. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") for any home improvement services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

JB'S Home Improvement L.L.C. is a licensed home improvement contractor registered in the State of New Jersey, operating in Livingston, NJ and surrounding Essex, Morris, and Union County areas.

2. Services Offered

JB'S Home Improvement L.L.C. provides residential and light commercial home improvement services including, but not limited to:

• Kitchen remodeling and renovation
• Bathroom renovation and tile installation
• Basement finishing and waterproofing
• Interior and exterior painting
• Deck building, repair, and composite decking
• General carpentry and handyman services

All services are subject to the terms of a separate written contract signed before project commencement. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and initial contact; project-specific terms are established in individual contracts.

3. Free Estimates and Consultations

We offer free, no-obligation estimates for all home improvement projects. An estimate provided by JB'S Home Improvement L.L.C. is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated in writing. Estimates are based on conditions observable at the time of the site visit. Additional costs may apply if unforeseen conditions are discovered during the project (e.g., water damage, structural issues, code violations). We will notify you of any changes before proceeding.

4. Project Contracts and Payment

All projects above $500 require a signed written contract. Our standard payment terms are as follows:

• Deposit: 30–50% due upon contract signing to secure scheduling and order materials
• Progress Payments: As outlined in the project contract at specified milestones
• Final Payment: Due upon project completion and client walkthrough approval

Payments may be made by check, bank transfer, or other methods as agreed in writing. We do not accept cash for amounts exceeding $1,000. Unpaid balances beyond 15 days of the due date may be subject to a 1.5% monthly late fee and, if necessary, referred for collections or legal action.

5. New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor Requirements

In compliance with the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act (N.J.S.A. 56:8-136 et seq.) and the New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor Registration Act:

• JB'S Home Improvement L.L.C. is registered as a Home Improvement Contractor with the State of New Jersey
• All contracts exceeding $500 are provided in writing with required disclosures
• Customers have the right to cancel any contract within three (3) business days of signing
• All permits required for the work will be obtained by JB'S Home Improvement L.L.C. unless otherwise specified in writing

6. Warranties and Workmanship

JB'S Home Improvement L.L.C. warranties all labor and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of project completion. This warranty covers defects in workmanship but does not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or acts of nature
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage caused by unauthorized modifications or repairs
• Pre-existing conditions not identified in the original contract

Manufacturer warranties for materials and products are separate from our workmanship warranty and are governed by each manufacturer's terms. We will assist you in filing manufacturer warranty claims where applicable.

7. Project Timeline and Delays

Project start and completion dates are estimates and may be subject to change due to weather conditions, material availability, permit approval timelines, or unforeseen job site conditions. JB'S Home Improvement L.L.C. will communicate any significant delays promptly. We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control.

8. Client Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth project, clients agree to:

• Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area during agreed-upon hours
• Remove personal belongings, valuables, and furniture from the work area prior to project start
• Secure pets away from the work area during work hours
• Make timely decisions regarding materials, colors, and finishes when requested
• Provide timely payments per the agreed schedule

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable New Jersey law, JB'S Home Improvement L.L.C.'s liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Website Use

The content on our website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of JB'S Home Improvement L.L.C. and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission. Our website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any errors, omissions, or results obtained from use of the information on our site.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites (Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Houzz, etc.). These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party websites.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service and any project contracts are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Essex County, New Jersey, pursuant to the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
